The Long Island Ravens have joined with the Jacob’s Light Foundation to aid our troops overseas. The Jacob’s Light foundations Mission is to send our military overseas necessities and comforts from home. They focus on military without family or support from home. They want to give them the support they need and to be a lifeline from America. The Long Island Ravens admin have decided to donate $500 cash and also host a game for them during their regular season. The game will be held at the United States Merchant Marine Academy on August 17th vs. the Empire State Demon Knights;  all the funds from the gate and concession will be donated to the Jacob’s Light Foundation. “We can’t bring them home, we can’t just say its going to be alright, we have to do something. It seemed like this was the right thing and best thing  to do.” said Coach Jim. Team owner Andrew added,” I have had a brother do tour’s over in the Mid-East and they miss the little things from home, like something as simple as a ring ding or Twinkie. You would be surprised what a simple Drakes cake means to a soldier who has been over in the Mid East for over a year.” The Long Island Ravens are proud to be partners with the Jacob’s Program, it show’s that this thing is bigger then football. Its global men. Lets keep our troops in our prayers and in our hearts.
