Week Two Recap

New York, NY - Week Two Recap -The RAFL second weekend of play brought more competitive games to the field this past weekend. The RAFL kicked another weekend of play starting with the surprising upset of the heavily favored HV Cowboys.

The Blue Devils came out and scared the Cowboys off their horses with a score of 25 - 6. Next up was the thriller in Brooklyn.

The Wolfpack up 6 - 0 and barely over a minute on the clock a miscommunication from the coach to the players lead to a fumbled ball which the Jazz picked up and ran to the one yard line. The Jazz take it in for the tying score and win the game in OT 12 - 6.

The LI Pitbulls took the Predators to the limit as they had it 12 - 12 going into the half but the experience played a big factor in the second half as the outcome was 24 - 12 Predators. The Predators later tipped their helmets to the upstart Pitbulls commenting on the great play and organization of the squad. The victory put the Predators in first place with a record of 2 - 0.

Monarchs vs. Braves was hyped up as the first RAFL game for the Virginia squad and the Braves didn't disappoint. Tied at halftime 6 - 6 VA came escaped with their scalps for the 21 - 6 victory. After the game the VA coach was extremely impressed with the first year Braves play, organization and uniforms.

In a nail biter with time running out the Nemesis QB threw up a Hail Mary and the Maryland squad sent the VA Cowboys riding into the sunset with the 12 - 8 loss. The first year team in name only has sprung out to a 2 - 0 start tied for the league lead.

In one of the toughest battles of the day the DC Chiefs evened out their record to 1 - 1 as they tamed the Jaguars 31 - 24.
